I think one of the most universal human experiences is feeling alone. You’d never know it, but there’s most likely tons of people feeling the exact same way. Maybe because you’re feeling abandoned. Maybe because you realize that you aren’t as self-sufficient as you thought. Maybe because you know you should’ve handled something differently. Or maybe because you aren’t as good as you thought you were. Either way, when you hit that low point, you have a choice. You can either wallow in self-pity, or you can suck it up. It’s your call.

Science is man’s attempt to understand creation. Analysing and investigating phenomena and explaining evidence using the scientific method. 

Religion is man’s attempt to understand the creator. Observing phenomena and explaining creation through close minded belief and suspension of judgement.

Both Religion and Science attempt to contain and explain the nature of the world, the universe and its creation through their own filter and the bias of human perspective.

I am beginning to learn that I do not have to understand God to know him. Science can help us observe and learn the physical and spiritual laws that have been put in place through creation. However it is a folly to employ inductive or deductive methods to our observations of the incomprehensible and conclude that we can understand its entirety through interpolation or extrapolation. I have recognized that I do not understand or need to understand God completely to begin to satiate my desire to know him. I must simply continue to seek to know him more.

Through this epiphany I am empowered to continue to learn and grow in Love. And in doing so I honour the Creator.
