How do you show how many people have visited your page?

  • If you would like to know how to install a text hit counter click here. The text hit counter also allows you to change whatever it says after your hit count.

How do you create a custom banner using flash?

  • If you would like to create a banner that looks like this
  • Just click here
  • You then select the banner you wish to use, choose the text you want to display, then click “Generate Animation”
  • Copy the code that is given.
  • From there you go to your tumblr customization page and click edit html.
  • You can place the code where you want it to be on your page. If you want it top of your page just place your code directly under the <body> and save your code.
  • If you want it top center like mine is it should look like this <body><center>YOURCODEHERE</center>

How do you create a drop down menu in your description?

  • Copy and paste this code before “<style type=”text/css”>” in your theme code:
  • Next, copy and paste the following code before the “</style>” in your theme code:

- If you change your theme, you’ll have to repeat this cycle of steps again.
- To have an image/pixel as the header, paste the code for the pixel where it says “HEADER HERE.”

Want to create your own BOTM/BOTW poll for your blog?

in the red and blue part of your html between the <head> and </head> part of your theme code you need to make a “column” for your poll like this (you can use the code i typed with the #polls)

then you create the code that goes in your BOTM column like where you see “polls” here. NOTE #polls and div id=”polls” MUST HAVE THE SAME NAME LIKE I JUST USED HERE

you put your poll code between the <div id=”polls”> and </div>

and that should be all you need (feel free to use the poll code I just showed here).

all you have to do from there is play around with the #poll numbers to change the width, height, and where the poll is located on your blog

If you need a site that allows you to create a poll I use Polldaddy but you can use any poll site that you wish
